How is it that shea butter soap could dry out my skin?
I'm practically at a loss when it comes to finding a facial cleanser that won't dry out my skin. I have to be very careful because I'm also acne-prone. I finally tried an organic shea butter soap and it still dries out my skin! Isn't shea butter supposed to do the very opposite? Any other suggestions for me?
yes it is, but you are using a soap form. Soap isnt recomended for facial cleansing. You need to get a face wash. Soaps are all mainly harsher then we think. Shea butter cream is the stuff that will soften dry skin. I recommend looking in Aubrey's. I use Aubrey's number 2 which is for dry skin but they have all types. They are very safe and gentle on skin and doesnt dry it out. I also use Dr. Haushka stuff as in a claryfying toner, and normalizing day oil which helps my skin with breakouts ive noticed, especially the toner, whichs main greatness is to fight bemishes and redness.
